Paola Murillo
Is a resourceful Marketing and International Business Development executive with over 17 years of global experience, supporting the delivery and planning of all kinds of marketing projects, including major events, facilitating community dialogues, product launches, internal communication, and stakeholder engagement.
Meet Carnaval del Sol Producer Sr. Manager
Pilar Hansen-Holm
Born in Lima, Peru, and raised in Ecuador, Pilar discovered her passion for hospitality and tourism in her early 20s. She studied at the renowned Steigenberger School in Munich, Germany, and worked at the Five Star Hilton Colon in Guayaquil, hosting high-profile conferences for presidents and dignitaries from South America.
Pilar has been part of Latincouver’s Carnaval del Sol since 2012, contributing to its growth into one of Vancouver and British Columbia’s largest festivals. Her natural gift for bringing people together and her passion for creating exceptional events are evident to every guest
Meet Carnaval del Sol Artist Director
Tom Landa
Artistic director of Carnaval del Sol and Latin American Heritage Month, along with Latincouver, organizes a festival in Vancouver and British Columbia that celebrates Latin American culture. The event features musicians from various Latin American countries, performing in multiple languages and showcasing traditional instruments, costumes, dances, and songs about immigration and the diaspora. The festival aims to create an inclusive environment, unite people through music, and support the Latino community in Vancouver.
